The Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Climate Protection (MLUK) emerged from the election for the 7th legislative period with the formation of the Brandenburg state government on 20 November 2019.
Axel Vogel (Bündnis 90/DIE GRÜNEN - Alliance 90/The Greens) was appointed as minister.
Anja Boudon is State Secretary in the department.

Structure and organisation of the Brandenburg Agriculture, Environment and Forestry Administration
The organisation of the administration of the State of Brandenburg is laid down in the State Organisation Act. The state authorities are divided into supreme state authorities, higher state authorities and lower state authorities. The highest state authorities are the state ministries. Higher state authorities are directly subordinate to a highest state authority and are responsible for the whole state.
Lower state authorities are subordinate to a supreme state authority and are responsible for parts of the state. State institutions are legally dependent, organisationally separate parts of the state administration. Their activities are primarily aimed at supporting the authorities in the state. State institutions are legally dependent, organisationally separate parts of the state administration, which mainly carry out economic activities serving public purposes.
For the areas of rural development, environment, agriculture and forestry are:
