As a "wine country" Brandenburg has been back on the oenological map of Germany for three decades. The fact that good wines from the Mark have attracted attention and even won prizes is due to the extraordinary enthusiasm shown by winegrowers or winegrowing associations for reviving the long-buried viticultural tradition in the state.
